What Is How to Fish?

Start with the fishing loop, then follow the NPC requests, boss lures, economy choices, and story drops that open each new stage.

🎣 Fishing with Physics and Firepower

How to Fish Game initially looks like a relaxed low-poly fishing trip, then adds creatures that fight back, firearms, trick-shot scoring, NPC exchanges, and bosses summoned with specific quest items.

The practical loop is simple: catch or defeat a creature, inspect it with F, decide whether it should be sold, cooked, handed to an NPC, or saved for the Reel of Fortune, then spend on the equipment needed for the next objective.

👥 Dividing Work in 1–4 Player Co-op

The game supports solo play and crews of up to four. More players make simultaneous fishing, cooking, navigation, and combat possible, but also make it easier to lose track of a quest item. The Multiplayer Co-op Guide expands on these flexible roles:

👨‍🍳 Value & Inventory

Cook and Seller

Inspects catches, cooks sellable creatures for 1.5x value, and keeps quest items away from the grill and sell point.

🎯 Air & Deck Defense

Gunner

Protects the quest carrier, clears threats around the boat, and maintains fire during boss openings.

🎣 Rare Catch Duty

Angler

Handles difficult catches and protects creatures required by NPC requests.

🧭 Navigation & Extraction

Captain

Positions the boat, avoids rocks, chooses engine upgrades, and keeps an escape route available during dangerous encounters.

🗺️ Five-Stage Story Route

Each stage is opened by an NPC request, a boss item, or both. Complete the hand-in before following the next coordinates:

01 Opening Quest

Lighthouse: Beer and Spider Crab

Turn Beer into an Empty Beer Can, complete the Spider Crab objective, and return the named drop for the Boat Keys and Radar.

02 Forest Quest

Forest: Leeches and Giant Piranha

Collect three Leeches, exchange them for Father's Favorite Bait, defeat the Giant Piranha, and return its story drop.

03 Desert Quest

Desert: Tourist and Pufferfish

Bring the Tourist a qualifying endangered creature, use the rewarded Carrot to summon the Pufferfish, and return its Tail.

04 Rocks Quest

Rocks: Tuna and Terrorizing Bird

Use the Professional Boss Lure to catch a Tuna, place it as bait, defeat the Terrorizing Bird, and keep the Bird Head for progression.

05 Volcano Finale

Military Island: Mutated Bowhead

Complete the scientist chain, throw the Bowhead Whale into the crater, defeat its mutated form, return the Tail, and start the RHIB.

Weapons and Fish Casino gameplay in How to Fish 🎰 Combat Scores Become Cash

🔫 Weapons, Trick Shots, and Casino Risk

Firearms in How to Fish Game are both defensive tools and part of the income system. A full rotation followed by an unscoped finishing shot can add a 360 no-scope to the catch's killscore. Inspect the result with F to see its actual multiplier.

Fish Roulette is a cash gamble, while the Reel of Fortune consumes a rainbow-name Drip creature for a random cosmetic weapon or rod skin. Neither should be confused with guaranteed story progression or reliable income.

💡 Small Mechanics with Large Consequences

🔎 Inspect with F

Check value, weight, cooking status, and killscore before deciding whether a creature belongs at the grill, sell point, NPC, or Reel.

🛡️ Name the Trophy Runner

Before the Pufferfish falls, choose who will pick up the tail. That player runs directly to the NPC while the rest of the crew watches for birds.

🌈 Identify Drip Variants

A rainbow-colored inspected name identifies a Drip creature. Sell it for its value or consume it in the Reel of Fortune for a cosmetic skin.
